This is all so sad. I wish them well. I despise what is going on in this country. I hope this regime is removed soon. This is so horrible and wrong! May they all pay for what they are doing to innocent and good people.

This person should file a writ of Habeus Corpus if he had not already done so. There are legal aid attorneys that can help him with this. Just complaining about something will not fix it, you need to take action!

You must not have been following previous reporting. The Habeus petition was denied.

No I did not know that. I am glad that somebody brought it up even if it was denied. Just because it was denied does not mean it cannot be appealed. I would suggest an appeal if it has not already been done. I know there is a time period in which to file an appeal and I hope that has not passed already, but I believe that this person has grounds to appeal (I am a retired attorney). I can think arguments that I would have brought up, but again I am retired, I am not his attorney, I no way of knowing the expertise of the attorney that he used. Again an appeal is available if the time to do it has not otherwise expired.

Obviously you cannot always win, sometimes you lose. However, you can keep trying to the best of your ability. If the attorney who represented him did not do his job correctly (and I have no way of knowing that), there are remedies available to the client to correct the situation and get appropriate counsel. There would still have to be another hearing to determine the merits of the situation but it is what it is.

Also unless you actually read the transcripts of the hearing (I do not think you did that but correct me if I am wrong) you have no idea what actually happened and you cannot really make any conclusions about whether or not there was a fair hearing on the matter.
